Water is clear and colourless but can reflect the colours of objects nearby. In this photograph, along with the white, grey and brown reflections of a dock and boat at a marina, the trees shading the pier add their varied emerald hues to the picture, and appear fragmented and distorted by the the slight motion of the water.
