week 46

One night this week, although early in the season, it snowed for the first time. Because some trees still have leaves, I hoped to capture them covered in white to convey this transitional time. However, within minutes of seeing the scene when I woke up, the snow turned to rain and everything melted quickly. By time I dashed outside with my camera, the only remaining snow was on the roofs. I had only a few minutes to find a viewpoint of the trees behind my house, one of which still had leaves, and include the snowy roofline. Within five minutes of making this photograph, all the snow was gone.
