week 41

The leaves on this young maple only recently turned to a vivid crimson, but much too soon, high winds have caused many of them to blow off. I felt that a high key treatment would highlight the gorgeous colour.
Post script: I went back to this tree 2 days later, to shoot it with fewer leaves...but in that short time period, every single leaf was gone!
