week 22

I made these photographs of the trees in my backyard this week, on a very windy day. In order to convey the impression of motion of the leaves and branches, both of these images were made using a very slow shutter speed while the camera was held still on a tripod. Less motion is evident in the branches than the much lighter leaves. I chose to present both photographs as a diptych in order to show the variation of the movement.
