week 16

The day after I photographed and posted the trees in the snowstorm for week 15, the snow changed to rain, which quickly turned to sleet and ice as the temperature dropped. Ice accumulated on everything, including the branches of the trees in my backyard. Because I photographed this scene through layers of driving sleet and freezing rain, the detail in the background is partly obscurred and everything appears soft and light in tone.
