week 4

These trunks are part of the same tree. Several feet off the ground it had divided into two separate trunks which were several feet apart. From where I was standing, light was passing between the two sections, making the colours of each appear slightly different. At first I thought I was looking at two separate trees because of the differences in colour and size of the bark texture. Not until I looked at it from a different angle did I realize that it was all part of one very old tree.
