In 2015 one of our themes was "Whispers". Now we will explore the visual concept of "Shouts" for the next 4 weeks. Situations that shout visually are loud, brash and demand attention. I was photographing in a car graveyard recently and was drawn to this old truck with bodywork that was unblemished and painted a brilliant, saturated red. It stood out amongst the other vehicles whose paint was rusted and whose colours were faded by time and the elements. To add to its already arresting appearance, the harsh Arizona sun created a dense shadow from the handle, adding a strong shape on the red door. This truck shouted "look at me" very clearly.
