week 35: quiet, muted colour

At the cottage, my grandson shot his water soaker weapon up onto his own face. The water droplets stood out brightly against the darker background at the dock. The colours in the photograph are all soft and gentle instead of the bright hues normally associated with the play of kids. However, I think that the subtlety of the palette allows attention to be drawn to the spray and his facial expression instead of competing with them. Please click here to see Larry's image.
