The purpose of a personal floatation device is to keep the wearer afloat in the water. It should also be in a colour that makes the wearer highly visible. The bright blue, orange and red on this lifejacket will do that job very well, and the bold pattern emphasizes this. At one time, PFDs were plain orange or yellow; now they are available in every bright colour and are a fashion statement as well as a safety device. Please click here to see Larry's image.
