week 24

WEEK 24: HOME, ONTARIO
I found a way to access the meadow and woods behind my house, and photographed this scene. It was a cloudy November afternoon and the wind was blowing really hard. Everything was moving at different speeds with the gusts. Rather than fight the wind, I decided to try to photograph it. Using a slow shutter speed, with the camera firmly supported on the tripod, I made the shot. The heavier elements, such as the oak tree trunk, remained stationary, while the lighter grasses and leaves registered as soft, blurred areas of colour and movement.
